Opening of BUKVARNA EUDOM

We remain delighted by the opening of BUKVARNA EUDOM, held in Radlje ob Dravi on Friday, 15.11.2024. Its purpose is to collect and sell second-hand books. The event also included a presentation of the online bookshop and an engaging literary evening with Branko Cestnik, MA, who presented his historical novels published by Celjska Mohorjeva družba.

Bookshop presentation

Its manager, Jože Praper, first spoke about the bookshop. EUDOM, d.o.o., a social enterprise, launched BUKVARNA EUDOM as part of its social-enterprise activities. It collects second-hand books, cassettes, records, CDs and other electronic equipment that would otherwise be discarded. The database already contains more than 15.000 books, with at least 2000 more awaiting cataloguing and organisation, so there is something for everyone. Books can be purchased at BUKVARNA EUDOM, Koroška cesta 61A, 2360 Radlje ob Dravi, or found on its website by searching by title, author or subject. The website is simple and user-friendly. Selected books are sent to your address by post.

Literary evening

The literary evening followed. Through an engaging account of his writing and research process, Branko Cestnik, MA, presented his four historical novels. The successful Sonce Petovione and Šesti pečat were published by Celjska Mohorjeva družba, Slovenia's oldest publishing house. He continued his writing journey with Pogovori z njo and the then-current novel Razmik med žerjavi.
