Successful Opening of the Library of Things in Radlje ob Dravi
On 27.10.2023, EUDOM opened the Library of Things at its premises in Radlje ob Dravi to support reuse.

On Friday, 27.10.2023, the Library of Things opened in Radlje ob Dravi to support the reuse and borrowing of existing materials and products. The project is run by EUDOM, d.o.o., so.p. together with its partner ZEOS, d.o.o. and the LIFE project Spodbujamo e-krožno. The Library of Things lets you borrow products needed only occasionally as well as items for everyday use. Available products include a plate compactor, dehumidifier, cordless grinder, cordless drill and cordless saw … The project partners aim to extend product lifespans and reduce waste. They emphasise that the activity creates added value through the sustainable use of resources.
The opening event
The successful opening began at 13 o'clock. Robert Potnik, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Radlje ob Dravi, was among the guests. Primož Praper, MA, director of EUDOM, d.o.o., so. p., addressed the audience first. He emphasised the importance of reusing products that would otherwise accumulate in our homes and the related environmental awareness. He also highlighted the community that will grow around the Library of Things, mutual assistance and solidarity. He presented the second-hand bookshop, their book marketplace, where books from the extensive collection can be borrowed for a nominal fee. Rok Jakič, project-activities coordinator at ZEOS, d.o.o., then spoke. He believes the Library of Things will be a major asset for local residents and a sound step towards a circular economy. A short film about the importance of the circular economy was also shown.

Online borrowing and products
Towards the end of the official programme, the new website https://izposoja-stvari.eudom.si/ and the borrowing process were presented. You can register on the website, reserve an item and borrow it for a set period in return for a small contribution. Visitors then viewed the items already available to borrow and enjoyed some pastries.
